David Eidelman, CFA
President & Founder

David Eidelman founded Eidelman Capital Management in 1982.  He serves as President and is responsible for the company’s investment and corporate operations. 

 

David started his investment career in 1969 with Scherck, Stein, & Franc, Inc. where he performed research for financial institutions.  In 1970, he joined I.M. Simon & Co. as Director of Research and became a Partner in 1972.  He joined Reinholdt and Gardner in 1975, serving as Director of Research and as a General Partner.  In 1978, he accepted the position of Executive Vice President with Northwestern Bottle Company, one of the nation’s largest container distributors, where he served until founding Eidelman Capital Management in 1982. 

 

David received his B.B.A. in finance in 1966 and his M.B.A. in 1968 from University of Wisconsin.   

Tom Eidelman, CFA
Vice President

Tom Eidelman serves as Vice President for Eidelman Capital Management.  He leads our investment research and strategic development. 

Prior to joining Eidelman Capital Management, Tom worked as a financial analyst for Microsoft Corporation in Seattle, Washington.  He spent time as an analyst both in their MSN business division as well as in their Portfolio Management Group working in their fixed income department.  He also held positions as an equity analyst for Stifel Nichlaus in 1998 and Eidelman Capital Management in 1997. 

Tom received his B.S. in Business from Indiana University in both Finance and Computer Information Systems in 2001.

Rob Bertman, CFA
Vice President - Sales & Operations

Rob Bertman joined Eidelman Capital Management in April 2005. His responsibilities include portfolio management, trading, compliance, sales and marketing, and strategic development.
 
Prior to joining Eidelman Capital Management, he was the Senior Vice President of Brokerage Operations for Yamner & Co., Inc. where he handled institutional equity trading, institutional sales, and back office operations. He also worked for Scudder Investments serving as a Customer Service Representative for Financial Advisors.
 
Rob received his B.S. in Organizational Studies with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2001.

Stanley Finger
Investment Advisor

Stanley Finger has worked with David Eidelman since 1974.  He is responsible for investment research and portfolio management.  Stan concentrates in the analysis and selection of banks, savings and loans, and insurance securities.

Stan joined the faculty at Washington University in 1968 and is currently a professor.  He has published over 100 articles and 7 books in the biomedical area and also provides valuable insight into medical related investments.  

Stan received his B.A. from Hunter College in 1964, his M.A. in 1966 and Ph.D. in 1968 from Indiana University.

Eugene Harris, CFA
Investment Advisor

Eugene Harris is an advisor to Eidelman Capital Management.  He was a Vice President from 1994-2004.  Eugene focuses on the analysis and selection of mid- and large-cap growth oriented companies. 

Eugene is a Managing Director for Flagstone Capital focusing on private equity investing and investment banking transactions. 

Eugene received his B.S. in industrial engineering from Stanford University in 1986 and his M.S. in management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1990.
